This howto only applies to AMD64 and X86 platform.
I have only installed the driver for the printer in the title on AMD64, But the downloaded package contains ppd files for C3200, C3300, CS330, CX330, MC3200 and MC3300 series and binaries for both AMD64 and X64 so they should probably work too...
Since I have just received the following feedback from upstream concerning the addition of a PPD + patch to rastertolabel.c to CUPS:
and LPrint - A Label Printer Application not being available as a FreeBSD port yet, I'd like to ask if anyone is willing and able to have a look, as that would...
I'm receiving a MUNBYN ITPP941 label printer next week, and as it turned out, it's one of the most common label printers available globally under at least three different brand names (Beeprt, Rollo, Munbyn).
There is a Linux CUPS driver package available for download...
Hello,
yesterday I wanted to install my multifunction printer which has a static IP address that I can ping and then via pkg I installed hplip.
Once the GUI was launched to query the printer via the network, the tool reported me that I probably have to open ports on the firewall such as mDns...
So print/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr is available as a port, but not print/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2, which newer Epson printers require.
The current RPM source package from the Epson website: epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2-1.1.32-1lsb3.2.src.rpm
Anyone willing and able to port that one, which...
I am looking for a multifunction printer that works flawlessly under FreeBSD, mainly for office use.
Desired features are:

I am wondering if it is possible to use a Linux printer driver for CUPS that contains a filter program binary in FreeBSD.
Specifically this is about the MUNBYN ITPP941 label printer for which the Linux CUPS driver can be downloaded here.
That driver consists of a Beeprt.ppd and a...
Hello
I have a Brother MFC-L2750DW printer and FreeBSD version 12.2. I have not found a driver for the printer and I can't get it to print on both sides. There is a brlaser driver, but it does not work correctly for this printer.
Can you give me a solution?
Thanks in advance.
In this forum under 'localhost:631: printer problem (solved)', thread 87, Trihexagonal suggested that I add the undermentioned code to get my HP printer working. This suggestion came from him after numerous users attempted helpful replies to my posts for help. His suggestion was remarkably...
I am trying to setup my new mono HP LaserJet Pro M404dn, having already downloaded pkg hplip 3.20.6
I am trying to open http://localhost:631/printers to enable cups but the address does not work.
Is it permanently down?
Postscript (PS) and PCL (Printer Command Language) are printer languages known as Page Description Languages (PDLs) supported by the majority of printers for interpreting and printing jobs. These two PDLs are alternate models developed by Adobe and HP respectively. ASCII is a printer language...
I just installed FreeBSD:
uname -r
12.2-RELEASE-p4
on an old HP ProBook4530s laptop. I'm running twm, firefox, openoffice and wifimgr. All of that is working great. I connect to the Internet over wireless to a cable modem. If I could just get the printer working I would be set!
I installed cups...
I have spent many hours attempting to find a compatible printer for my needs, needs that are quite unsophisticated for home use, say up to $250 (Aus).
There are dauntingly long lists online but they tend to be riddled with printers that are no longer available. I find it hard to believe that it...
Greetings.
For two weeks I have been trying to solve this. Xerox does not provide anything for FreeBSD. There are some drivers for CUPS for some huge old reliable xerox printers.
Linux provides some drivers and a "ppd" file, but everything depends on a program called...
Hi guys,
I'm looking into making my Brother printer (HL-1110) works on FreeBSD by using the Linux drivers.
I managed to do it once but lost my config since.

There is no sub-forum on peripheral devices such as printers, so I post here.
Is there any brand multi-function ink device printer/scanner that works with FreeBSD preferably out of the box (just after drivers installation), or after minimal tweaking.
It would be ideal if it will be ink tank...
As a first step install the CUPS package, in my case through pkg and not by port. In addition to all these packages:
# pkg install cups cups-filters cups-pdf gsfonts foomatic-db-engine foomatic-db gutenprint system-config-printer
Then in the /etc/devfs.rules file paste the following commands...
I ran pkg upgrade on Friday part of which installed LibreOffice 6.4.4. This version does not display an embedded graphic on a spreadsheet that is commonly used in our office. Worse, it does not print. Something gets sent to the printer because it flashes busy and the printer mechanism runs...
Hi, I have a Raspberry Pi sharing a Brother printer via CUPS over the LAN. I've used it for a long time -- Windows and Mac devices can use the share, and my Linux devices too without installing local drivers.
I'm having some trouble with FreeBSD. Using the CUPS interface (i.e., localhost:631) I...
Hello all,
I reinstalled hplip on my freebsd 12.1. I got a new element inside the menu of my xfce desktop: hp-uiscan under "Application->Other".
