Worst computer hardware feature you have seen?

Since the Windows key is the Super key on most keyboards, for most lightweight WMs, it literally is the key you need to press to move GUI Windows around. Kind of poetic really.

This coffee cup holder however has to be one of the best features ever.

Tiny plastic tangs in the top edge corners of RJ45 connectors on certain thinkpads were only made of plastic. The X60 and X61 had this problem. In the rough and tumble of a work environment the cable invariably gets pulled hard when someone trips over it, pulling the laptop onto the floor as they go... one way or another, one or both of the two very small tangs snaps off. Once that happens the plug no longer locks in place and you have to keep shoving the connector into the socket to keep the connection up, as the slightest movement causes it to come out. There is a fix ... you have to get the daughter card FRU which has the RJ45 mounted on it and replace it inside the laptop. The picture doesn't show the problem, but imagine if you can one or both of the tiny plastic corners at the top, either side of where the spring lever sits. On the X61 they were made of transparent plastic which used to break off.

Of course a proper ethernet port has a steel masking plate like this which protects the plastic tangs from breakage.

Another variant is when the spring lever snaps off the ethernet plug and you have to keep using the same cable...
