Something wrong with the display of thread times

I've been noticing for a few weeks now: The display of the most recent update of threads is wrong, in the overview of the whole forum, compared to the overview of subforums in one thread.

I'm running Safari, up-to-date version, on a Mac.

Compare these three screenshots, taken a few seconds apart:

So is the thread "Why Google ..." from yesterday or from today? It is from yesterday. But why are some of the overviews wrong?

I can confirm:
Kent_dorfman766's post in ralphbsz example is shown at my Firefox on FreeBSD 14.1 at 12.21am. When I login at 1:21am.
I don't really know, but it seeam reasonable:
It may have something to do with local times, and personal time settings.
I'm in central europe (UTC+1) While I'm not logged in my browser shows the server's time a post was made, which seems to be UTC.(?)
When I login my user's profile settings are respected, what made pretty much sense to me then to see Kent's post at 1:21am for my timezone.
But while I was writing this post I first also saw the 5:12am.
Seems some one is adjusting the server's time settings.
I don't know, I didn't observed, but since this ain't the first thread about this topic, and I should make a guess, maybe some admin is 'adjusting' the server's time to some local time in east USA (foundation?), while another admin correct it back again to UTC...

But since I always like to bring radical ideas to the table:
Cross your heart: Does it really matter? 😁

By the way, I'm in PST = US Pacific time = UTC-8.

Seems some one is adjusting the server's time settings.
Exactly. I suspect that some part of the server is using timezone, and another part is not. Perhaps the day and time are using different time zones?

No, it's purely cosmetic.

Time for some jokes: It offends my OCD. I don't suffer from OCD, I enjoy it. Actually, it has to be CDO, so the letters are in alphabetic order.

What's the difference between ADHD & OCD?

They both notice every little unusual thing but an ADHD person forgets/doesn't bother to do anything about it, while an OCD person must do something about it!
