[plasma 5] session is not restored

I wonder if anyone else here configures Session Restore to "On last logout" or "When session was manually saved".
Did you notice that those options stopped working some time in the (Northern Hemisphere) summer?

Yes (that's my preference).

IIRC, restoration was never as comprehensive as I'd like.

That said, a few months ago I did notice that (at least) KCharSelect is no longer restored. I should have reported a bug at the time, too lazy, sorry.

Things that are always restored, for me, include:

• gkrellm
• two XTerm windows.

For me, nothing gets restored at all "except" for stuff in ~/.config/autostart/.
But the auto-start stuff is really auto-started, not restored.
