WiFi support Raspberry Pi Zero 2W

Hi all,

FreeBSD on ARM states that the WiFi chip on the Zero 2W is unsupported ("Unsupported (BCM43438 Driver)").

Just wondering if:
a) this is still the case, and if so
b) if support is likely to be developed. I am happy to test if needed.

In the absence of WiFi connectivity, does anyone know if a USB Ethernet dongle would work? I guess I can always test.

I can't speak to the current state of support for that wi-fi card, but there's a good, fairly recent discussion of USB ethernet dongles in Thread what-is-the-best-usb-ethernet-adapter-driver-free-for-freebsd.85813

At the risk of sounding like a heathen, I installed NetBSD on my RasPi Zero W (first generation) a year ago because the wi-fi was supported.

Good luck! I hope you'll tell us how it goes. You're running newer hardware than I have, so it's possible they haven't extended support to it yet.
