(I'm running 13.2-STABLE and using the iwlwifi driver on a Dell Precision laptop.)
The good news is I managed to make my FreeBSD laptop connect to the eduroam wifi network at work Very happy with this.
However, in the process I experienced quite a few system crashes/restarts. At the time of the crash I was simply typing in the shell, but it also very reliably crashed every time I did
After modifying a setting in /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf - I had "eap=TTLS" whereas the correct setting was apparently "eap=PEAP" - I can now run the same command without crashing.
So, granted that my /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf settings weren't perfect, but it still doesn't feel right that the system should crash.
Is there anything I can do to make my FreeBSD installation a bit more resilient so it doesn't fall over next time I need to connect to some unusual wifi network? Or is this strictly speaking a bug, and there is nothing I can do besides not using the wrong settings?
