Folks,
I've been having this message show up in booting.
Mounting from zfs:zroot/ROOT/default failed with error 6.
mountroot>
I've been using freeBSD for a couple of years as an enthusiast -my realm is mechanical, came across issues now and then -nothing the handbook, forums(similar problems) and mailing lists couldn't handle. I didn't give much thought about posting until, now that I tried a few options, I had to finally give in. Say what, let the experts handle this delicate situation.
live cd: zpool import -d /dev/gpt zroot : vdev probe failure, zpool=zroot path=dev/gpt/zfs0
Some pretty important stuffs are stuck in this NVME SSD (it's a Dell laptop, didn't figure how to send hwprobe in such scenario). One way or another, if the zpool can be dealt with and files can be accessed, this would be great. Else, if there were a way to retrieve the data in /dev/nvd0p4 using NomadBSD? or data recovery, please do make your suggestions. RAID isn't enabled as far as I'm concerned.
