Solved Pihole DNS

Hi dear BSD user's!!

Have a big trouble with my Pihole, i can't add my Pi DNS as default nameserver.

Running under FreeBSD 12.1 Stable Mate Desktop.

Searching issue since 2 days, and nothing found to solve it!

Works fine under Windows and Mac.

Have any one some ideas? :oops:

What do you mean? You can't edit /etc/resolv.conf? It gets overwritten by DHCP? Server doesn't respond even if configured correctly? Error messages? Resolving issues?

Please provide information about what you tried, how you configured it, etc.

Thanks for the answer, yes i mean when i edit /etc/resolv.conf the DHCP don't take the Pihole nameserver.

I found this issue in /etc/dhclient.conf:

Code:
interface "re0" {
    supersede domain-name-servers 192.168.X.X;}

But after restarting "/etc/rc.d/netif restart" and "/etc/rc.d/routing restart" i lost my connection...

Hope my case are a little bit clearer.?

Any other idea??

So, that's not FreeBSD?

Code:
# ll /etc/rc.d/dhclient
-r-xr-xr-x  1 root  wheel  1342 Nov 11  2018 /etc/rc.d/dhclient*

Not really, is it a fork from FreeBSD => GhostBSD

Finally i found the issue, after checking the Pihole i see that the lan cable was pinched.

After change it everything's back to normal.

Thanks for helping, next time i look first physically connections xD
