vmware Mouse does not work in VMWARE Fusion and Freebsd 14.2

Hi all,

I have an issue with my current installation. I installed FreeBSD 14.2 in Fusion on a Mac Pro3 system.
Unfortuantelly, the mouse does not working. When I start xserver, XFCE or KDE5, I can only see the mouse cursor but it does able to being move the mouse icon.

Any idea what's the potential issue here?

Does this version require VMware Tools?
My experience is solely with ESXi hosts.

I don‘t know. I installed it but no changes. With previous versions of f
FreeBSD where no problems.

This is what is working on Kamatera Cloud-computing platform for me (it's VMWare under)

pkg ins -y xf86-input-vmmouse

then
put this in /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-vmmouse.conf

Section "InputClass"
    Identifier    "vmmouse"
    MatchIsPointer "on"
    MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
    Driver        "vmmouse"
EndSection

then

sysrc moused_enable=YES

then

reboot

I have slim/xfce, mouse is perfectly working
