Solved LibreOffice 7.2.5.2 spellcheck not working

After upgrading the host system to 12.3 and reinstalling the packages LibreOffice spellcheck not longer works. The spellcheck runs but it shows no languages to choose from. In the Tools>Options>Language selector I can choose between US,UK,and CA English. I can set the language for the entire document in Tool>Language. But regardless of what language I choose the spellchecker does not show any language in the selection drop-down. And it does not find or identify any misspellings in the document.

I have removed and reinstalled LibreOffice and the problem is not solved.

Is there anything else I can do?

That is the solution to my problem. It mystifies me as to why LibreOffice or at least the LibreOffice language packs do not have a dependency on hunspell. It seems to me to be rather pointless to install a spelling dictionary that cannot be used with the software as installed.
