Has any forum member ever installed FreeBSD 14.x on this type of Thinkpad?

If so, did you have any difficulty?

Is there a special configuration to do in the BIOS/UEFI?

I thought I saw that Ventoy should not be used with a FreebSD.iso image.
So I will use an.iso image via rufus or etcher or another means.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

For BIOS/UEFI disable Secure Boot, FreeBSD doesn’t support it. Set SATA mode to AHCI and, if needed, switch to “Discrete Graphics” to avoid hybrid GPU issues.

Why are you going to use this? What's wrong with dd in your case? Why didn't you go the "classic" way? Rufus is good for Windows, it patches the image to remove TRM 2.0, etc. What's good about Rufus for FreeBSD?

Because once, with DD, I messed up and erased a 1 TB external hdd.
