Solved Do you need to rebuild your stuff when you apply a patch?

I get something like 10 fps max in KDE4 since just about when I patched the system, and knotify4 takes 100%+ CPU sometimes...

I'm rebuilding everything from scratch using Poudriere, and it's soon going to be done, so it's no big deal for now, but I'm still curious what's broken... : \

radeonkms loads the chipset modules when invoked manually through kldload, but doesn't when it's appended during boot... I just took out the lines from loader.conf so any changes to the radeon driver would automatically get loaded... but it doesn't work that way, apparently... : \

Mystery solved, though... Still curious how I managed to get 90 fps the other day...
