Solved Boot get frozen at GPU firmware

Hi guys,

I have issue booting this relatively new Intel N97 Alder Lake CPU. The problem came out after followed the steps to add the intel drm module:

boot.webp

I remember there was a chapter about the micro-code on the handbook but I couldn't find it, I guess I can unload the module from the rc.conf but then I won't get the GPU acceleration... 😩

What can I do? This is a brand new installation, thanks... 🙏

Nada... I reinstalled the modules and the firmware but it gets frozen...

FreeBSD doesn't work with this Mini PC, I tested it with NomadBSD but at this rate I believe it fell back to Vesa to run the desktop...

What disappointment... 😞

Eventually I solved it...
In the after install messages it was written the module drm-61-kmod was compiled against 14.1 and to compile from port for 14.2, so I did it and it worked...

A week-end to solve it, a very traumatic experience that I don't recommend to anybody... Sometimes I think that all of this is made on purpose... 🤨
