Hello,
I just hot my new raspberry pi 2. I see a big fat Broadcom chip on it that says "BCM2836" and I'm sure that this one should be the wireless card.
I'm using a standard image for RPI2 with nothing custom on it.
I have downloaded the source and on the default conf file I see that it's...
Hi,
I've got a raspberry pi 2b running Freebsd 11.0. Works fine (except keeping world up to date is a pain for a non-tier-1 architecture), but given that 11.0 is EOL I need to upgrade to 11.1. So I built a new image with crochet from branch releng/11.1 in git. However, this image fails to boot...
Hello,

Hi,
This is a freshly installed sd card with xorg on a raspberry pi 2.
LLVM ERROR: Program used external function '__addsf3' which could not be resolved!
As far as I understand this is a libc / glibc function for soft floats. The raspberry pi 2+ has hard float abilities, so I don't really...
I just installed FreeBSD on raspberry pi 2. It kept giving me this:
checksum failed: cg 19, cgp: 0x0 != bp: 0x61de29e7
I found this page relevant but then I realized that there is no head subfolder under root /. Additionally I'm not able to shutdown the system by running the command. shutdown -p...

Hi, my first post (6 months ago) was https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/58138/
Now, with the 11.0-STABLE, i still can't compile the port CutyCapt on my Raspberry Pi 2 with "make install clean". It appears some errors from ports gstremaer and qt4-webkit.
Does anybody know how to have CutyCapt...
Hi,
I understand, that I can create my own image, but it would be more convenient to get them ready-to-run. I own a set of "Raspberry Pi 2 Model B V1.1" (board version) and found working read-to-run images for FreeBSD-11.0 in the "snapshots" and in the "releases" directories. But nothing for...
So no matter what I do get the following on my RasPi 2 using FreeBSD 11. Tried doing what it said to fix it. Is there something else I could do?

Hi folks.
Spent the day wiping an 8 GB Kingston SD Card, and it simply will not install. I've tried various versions of FBSD and I can't get anything to boot.
Can someone recommend a working image that I should be using? Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Need some help with getting my RasPi working. I have everything setup and the OS sees the device.

Has anyone gotten ser2net working on FreeBSD? If so how did you do it? I've set it up on Linux but I'm confused as what serial device to point it too. (naming convention)
I am using a Serial2USB device as well. Two of them.
Also I'm running this on a Raspberry Pi 2.
I just got FreeBSD running on a raspberry pi. I tried a few different ISO files before finding one I could successfully boot.
The one that worked for me was FreeBSD-11.0-RC3-arm-armv6-RPI2.img.
After install I realised there is not only 11.0-RC3 available, but also 11.0-RELEASE.
I'm brand new...
on a raspberry pi 2 B that has FreeBSD 11.0-current on it, I need to have some kind of a network interface created (meaning that if for example ifconfig is typed, my network interface and its options must be shown alongside lo0 & ue0 ).
and to do just that, I need ifnet and other structures...
Dear all
I'have correctly installed the official FreeBSD IMG for Raspberry Pi 2 and installed some packages with pkg but now I have a doubt: my /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf have only this repository url: pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/$(ABI)/latest
Please I want to know if I have to add other specific...
