Hello,
we wanted to connect a USB3 PCI Express card to our aging HP Proliant DL380 Gen8 (which has PCIe 3.0 slots with x16, x8 and a PCI-e 2.0 slot x4).
The USB3 cards are working but at a very low speed. When I test the speed by connecting a USB3 HDD the speed is about 5 to 7 MB/s with...
I've been dealing with an issue for about 6 months now. Curious if anyone has ideas how to expand troubleshooting.

Hi, FreeBSD Gurus!
Looking for a good 2 x COM ports PCIe adapter with better FreeBSD support on a driver level.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE:
I found old card near me in store, is it able to work in FreeBSD?
Looks like this is based on : WCH CH382L chip, and uart(4) support them natively.
Hi,
Anyone using similar wifi PCIe cards?
Atheros AR9580 and AR9582
Will “ath_hal” or other FreeBSD module work with them?
Im thinking of getting R11e-2HPnD and R11e-5HnD from Mikrotik.
Thanks
As per a suggestion of a FreeBSD user, I've bought a LogiLink PCIe card with four USB 3.0 ports, in order to be able to have a Linux bhyve virtual machine using some peripherals.

Hi,
I am compiling a driver for sr-iov and need the following header to be included.
#include <dev/pci/pci_iov.h>
to call pci_iov_attach_name and set the /dev/iov entry.
However, compilation throws a fatal error in the header.
/usr/src/sys/dev/pci/pci_iov.h:33:10: fatal error: pci_iov_if.h...

While using two different I/O generators, I'm seeing a huge performance difference. I'm hoping someone may know why. My guess is, the I/O path through the stack may be vastly different between the two tools.
