Does anyone know the location of where ezjail-admin kicks off "ezjail-admin start" which is a command that starts all jails. When I did this by accident; it gave me errors regarding jails not being present.
I would like to edit this datastore (wherever it aggregates this from) -- (old jails)...
Hey everyone!
I have a Mail Server Jail that uses dovecot, postfix and maia (security/maia); dovecot and postfix start automatically when the jail starts or restarts; it's maiad that does not. I have to manually do:
# service maiad start
(and then it loads fine and my mail server...

When I created my jails; I never used full domain names for the naming which ended up being the inherent hostname for the jail. Is there a way to change the hostname to reflect the command line prompt?

I have an ezjail-admin question for experienced system administrators. Is there an archive limit? I was able to archive and restore from FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE to a FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE and it worked. The one archive of a jail that exceeds 4GB; ZFS are my filesystem(s). 14GB or so, give or take...
Hi folks.
I'd appreciate a help to discover what's wrong with sysutils/ezail. The service is started but never return the therminal, as you see below.

I am mostly a Linux user, and my knowledge on FreeBSD is quite limited (learning now, as I need to use some FreeBSD servers). On some of them, when I create a jail, it doesn't have networking access, even if I configure it correctly (well, I would say it is correct, but if it doesn't work...
Hello,
I'm trying to update the base system of the jails on my host. I created the jails using EZJail. On the host or on the jails, I think the correct way to check if my base system is up to date is to call
# freebsd-update fetch
This way I get a list of available updates. If the list is...
OK, so I've made an mistake with rushing into setting up Jails and haven't configured ezjail before I started creating jails so it by default created all of the jails within /usr/jails directory which is part of zroot ZFS pool, not its own pool.
To be more specific I'm talking about the...
I've tried updating my basejail on the system with:

I recently built a new FreeBSD 11 VM and have migrated my jails to it. However I'm also trying to upgrade my jails to FBSD 11. When doing so i'm getting the following error:

Good day friends!
I'm update host from 10.3 amd64 to 11-PRERELEASE amd64.

Sorry for creating a new thread but I thought it would be better to start a new one either to respawn the old one.
But I didn't understand from an old discussion if it was a bug of ezjail-admin or it was a normal behaviour. But how to update jails in that case? And how do I understand update is...
Hello,
I've had a problem similar to this one, though other files were concerned, and am trying to apply the suggested workaround (only changed the path to my basejail since it is in /srv):

$ sudo mount -t nullfs -o ro /srv/basejail/ /basejail/
