I have just installed 13.1-RELEASE on a thinkpad x1 yoga g3 - I have setup X (i dont have it starting automatically), power saving (using intel speed shift), suspend on closing the lid, resume works reliably too. So far so good.

I did a "pkg info" and "plasma5-powerdevel-5.24.5" is indeed already installed along with the standard KDE5. And, "dbus" is already enabled.
I could not find any screen brightness controls in the Settings...
I am using xf86-intel-video driver and graphics/intel-backlight to control backlight
when the screen turns off due to inactivity or when i wake it back from sleep the backlight resets to 50%
