Intel Arc driver situation

So, I built a new budget system to be my streaming PC and the most cost effective solution was to go with a Arc GPU, but from what I understand, the i915kms driver that comes with drm-kmod only supports integrated graphics.

Any news or rumours about compatibility in the near future? I believe the open drivers Intel puts out are decent. Unfortunately I don't know code or I'd try porting myself.

I was wondering if there have been any updates since your original post regarding support for Intel Arc GPUs on FreeBSD?

According to documentations Intel ARC requires 6.2 Linux to work properly. There is graphics/drm-66-kmod in ports, supported on the 15 and STABLE 14 branches.

graphics/drm-66-kmod is reported to work on stable/14
