Rockchip ITX Arm boards

I would like to read some opinions about that board, that sounds VERY cool and on the ML I see some degree of support for FreeBSD.

We need to create a new thread for ITX Arm boards. Mario is asking about ITX Arm Board in the wrong thread..

So Lets start with my two finds. Rock5 ITX and FriendlyElec

Will they run FreeBSD?

So, the Firefly board starts at USD 489.- (4 GB RAM)
and the Radxa with 16 GB RAM is USD 160.- and with 32 GB RAM it is USD 240.-
not worth it IMHO.

Both those boards are based on RockChip's RK3588 - FreeBSD has no support for it. At least wiki doesn't mention it. main src doesn't have much there either.
Based on that I'd say they will not run FreeBSD.

I never really played too much with these boards but I'm more curious nowadays. I bought orangepi5 max to have some fun there. Just two weeks ago somebody submitted dts patch for it (Linux). Copied it over to uboot, made it boot successfully, even eager to PXE boot:

Code:
U-Boot 2025.01-00873-g2eed5a1ff362-dirty (Jan 22 2025 - 23:35:52 +0100)

Model: Xunlong Orange Pi 5 Max
Recently I had to spawn ppc VM, used this board. It was performing better than my older odroid h2 (I know, age difference). True, it's not 40-50EUR board but with today's prices it's not that bad either. I won't go out to eat and spare some money for fun project.
