Bad, bad, bad, bad!See post #3. In short: this is a PoverVR chipset, there probably isn't an Xorg driver for it (in FreeBSD at least), so the only thing you will get out of it is VESA. No KMS.
Have a look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Intel_GMA_3600, perhaps it is useful.I'm trying out a Asus 1025C with the GMA 3650 on FreeBSD 14.0. I'm not having any luck getting X to go above 800x600.
Has anyone else had any luck with this?
1 Xorg driver
At the moment there is no accelerated driver for Xorg, but some support is available using the Xorg modesetting driver provided by package xorg-server.
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-gpudriver.conf
Code:Section "Device" Identifier "Intel GMA3600" Driver "modesetting" EndSection
The modesetting driver allows disabling/enabling LVDS, VGA, etc. ports and changing resolution using xrandr.
Actually there is a modesetting driver provided by x11-servers/xorg-server (/usr/local/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/modesetting_drv.so, only:I don't think FreeBSD has the modesetting driver ported to it.
SUPPORTED HARDWARE
The modesetting driver supports all hardware where a KMS driver is
available. modesetting uses the Linux DRM KMS ioctls and dumb object
create/map.
